Code Catalyst is different from your traditional idea of a school. The internet already has more high quality learning content than one could digest in a lifetime. Our focus is on empowering students to become professional developers through experience.
This means working in software teams on real projects with real stakeholders and gaining the skills necessary to learn on their own with the plethora of available online resources.
Our mentors are leaders in their field and have experience ranging from starting and scaling their own technology companies to working for large US technology companies.
We don’t provide full time teachers. We provide technology, product management and soft skills mentors who offer intensive guidance, code review and are always available to answer questions when student teams are stuck.
Prior to each new real world project, student teams have a “study week” where mentors provide a detailed, hands-on walkthrough of a demo project from start to finish that includes relevant technologies.
